I really like In the Hunt - but are we considering it a shmup? Feels more run n' gun (underwater that is) to me.

I thought I remembered it forcing the screen to scroll, but maybe I'm wrong (and I'll change my vote accordingly).

ok, so after taking a look at YouTube there are definitely some sections of the game that force scrolling, and I think we can make it fit in the category even though it is clearly a hybrid. shmups.org lists it in their Xenocide files (http://www.shmups.com/xenocidefiles/saturn.html), which is good enough for me.

There are sections of Gunstar Heroes that force scrolling, and we didn't allow that...

I've never played this game although it looks interesting. Are there sections where you can sit and farm enemies though, like Bangai-O apparently has? That would ruin the score aspect of things.

Mystic Riders is more Cotton / Harmful Park than the stuff we have been voting for so far. I've always enjoyed a well-made cute em' up.

Irem surprised me while I was researching their stuff. They have tons of games, a lot of really bizarre ones too. I was surprised to see some other arcade stuff I've never heard of other than R-Type games too.
