Thanks Racketboy for having one of the fastest bloat free Forum Page loads online!
I posted this back in September. Digital Press recently upgraded their Forums and now the pages load slower. Posting is a pain with all the pop up boxes and some kind of text checker making typing entries a crawl. The Assembler site is also going thru changes as well, hopefully they won't add bloat. The slow page loads of Atari Age and Digital Press are noticable on my older Retro computer at a home cable connection or at a public wireless server such as Starbucks with my two year old laptop.

So again, Thanks Racketboy for one of the fastest page load forums. The community here is great too! :D

Really?

Seriously? You guys couldn't get enough enjoyment trolling the newb? You had to lock the topic too? All because the guy didn't like Mischief Makers? I remember having trouble as a newb around here too, but this is a bit ridiculous. How do you guys plan on continuing to be a successful website if you treat newcomers like trash?

I saw absolutely nothing wrong with that thread. People talking about games they thought were garbage. The only thing I saw wrong was all the regulars jumping all over the new guy's ass for having an opinion that was different from their own on the game, and somehow he's the bad guy and the thread gets locked. Bullshit. Get off your high-horses and get over yourselves. You aren't the be all end all authority on classic gaming and you shouldn't have the right to bully over other's opinions. That was rude as hell.

Uhm, there was only one person who 'attacked' that poster for the Mischief Makers comment. I seriously did think he was just baiting/trolling. I don't care whether he likes that game or not, I was under the impression that the thread was about games that have no reason to exist at all, not just another thread about games you don't like.

I'm willing to apologize for that comment of mine, but let's face it, that thread really shouldn't have been made to begin with.

There is a tapatalk plugin for phpbb which could be added. So are there any plans for better iPad/iPhone support?

So there are no thoughts on this? Personally, I've been enjoying other forums that have tapatalk plugin installed.

actually a mobile plugin is something we've been looking into. SpaceBooger has been doing a lot of good research.

Would it be redundant or a waste of time to create a "I'm Stuck!" thread in General Gaming? If we already have one, I'm unaware of it.

We have the resources here to create a thread where we can get fellow gamers out of jams without having to spoil the entire game or have to search through faq's. Could be a good thread for the regulars and even coincide with Together Retro and a segment in the Podcast.

Luke, I read your post the other day but didn't get a chance to respond. I'm surprised that no one has commented on your idea. I love it, I think it would be great.
