The government taxes cigarettes too much in my opinion. I don't smoke, but the way I see it, the government's exploiting the addicts. It's rather sad, especially when you consider how poor off some of them already are.

And a lot of that money goes right back to the smokers when they're in the hospital due to smoking related illnesses.

But yeah, NY was like, "Oh no! Money crisis! Nah, it's OK, we'll just double the cost of a pack of cigarettes."

I can still pay less than $7 for a pack of Newports.

I personally don't care if people smoke. If they are willing to pay the dough, more power to them. The only thing that bothers me about smokers is that whenever you try to go somewhere with them you are constantly waiting for them to finish a smoke.

Also I cannot date a girl who smokes. Just cannot do it. Tried it once and it ended very poorly.

i actually dated a smoker...yada, yada, yada....and were not together anymore. we actually went out for almost a month and I never kissed her once. I couldn't do it. she was very cute though (hey i was young back then, don't look at me like that)
