Nah, it's supposed to be a commentary on the current status of Mega Man. It's ironic that Mega Man fans are freaking the fuck out at what is supposed to be an apologetic nod to what has happened to the blue bomber lately.

It's an inside joke that totally passed over the heads of the intended audience.

Personally, I love it. I was not planning on getting this until now.

Oh man. With that Mega Man I am suddenly interested. I've been pretty anti-Capcom this generation, but I have to admit that I am interested in this game. Would prefer if it were sprite based.

Personally i think the MM character looks pretty stupid for whatever the reason they doing it.

I like fighting games to be somewhat serious and not poke fun or joke etc....
Ill definitely skip this one and wait for the next Tekken Tag.

Die hard Legends fan. Legends 3 getting cancelled was a dark day.

On the other hand, I know a tongue-in-cheek joke when I see one. Despite the popular hyperbole, Capcom does not hate Megaman. They just do not seem to know how to use him lately. They are not confident in his ability to make money and therefor are making choices (like cancelling games) that I have not been a fan of.

Capcom knows they have irked their customers; I see Bad Box Artwork Megaman's inclusion (and decidedly Legends 3 backstory) as a clumsy attempt to show the fans that they have not written the Blue Bomber off. To be honest, I think this version of Megaman is more fun to look at than he would have been if he was a simple, clean, plain looking blue character. This guy has some personality!
