1. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson
2. Outliers - Max Gladwell
3. Economics in One Lesson - Henry Hazlitt (new)
Come on guys, it's been 15 days. Lets pick up the pace a bit!
Anyways, another good book. It's basically a primer on Austrian economic theory. In about 200 pages Hazlitt briefly discusses 25 or so topics allowing the reader to get a basic understanding of the general theories and positions usually taken by economists of this school. It's a solid introduction.

EDWARD LEE'S BRIDES OF THE IMPALER
Freaky shit. A perfect melding of horror and sexuality.

I nominate changing the thread title to "Books saturnfan read in 2012."
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
Re: Books Read 2012
I fell way the hell behind on reading last year (like most of my interests, including games, it comes and goes. I haven't picked up a controller in a month) but now I'm feeling it. I will keep up with this topic this time, so hopefully it doesn't just become poor Saturnfan running alone again.
I haven't finished much yet, but I have a lot planned. So far:
1. City of Dreams and Nightmare - Ian Whates
2. 'Salem's Lot - Stephen King
City was a fairly typical fantasy, the first book in a series of three. I enjoyed reading it, but after considering it I don't think I'll continue the series. I was satisfied enough with the first book and yet at the same time not engaged enough to see where it goes next. That may change later, dunno.
'Salem's Lot is a King classic and I loved it. I know King causes some very black or white opinions, but I happen to be on the side that really enjoys his stuff.
At the moment, I'm in the middle of Stroker's Dracula and I absolutely love it. I took it to bed late one night intending to only read the first chapter, and ended up tearing through the first 100 pages in short order. Can't wait to continue.
I've got classics on the brain right now more than anything else, so I'm debating what to check out after Dracula. I'm heavily leaning towards The Count of Monte Cristo.

*Ahem*
1. Too Many Cooks-Rex Stout
Like I mentioned on the first page, I'm going to try to get through a good chunk of my Nero Wolfe books this year. I'm not planning on reading them in any sort of order, as my collection is a bit scattered, but I don't think it's necessary to do so anyway.
Anyway, good book. Though all the descriptions of food in this one made me especially hungry.

2. The Doorbell Rang-Rex Stout
I'm getting in more of a groove now
This one has Wolfe and company going up against the FBI. Fun stuff.

1. City of Dreams and Nightmare - Ian Whates
2. 'Salem's Lot - Stephen King
3. Dracula - Bram Stoker
I was only able to make small progress over the past few days, but tonight I attacked it and finished the last 200 pages in a single sitting.
I adored this book, and considering that I've had a copy for years, sitting and waiting to be enjoyed, I'm ashamed of myself for putting it off for so long.
It should be required reading for Castlevania fans too.

3. Dracula - Bram Stoker
4. I Hate Everyone - Matthew Dibenedetti
5. 11/22/63 - Stephen King
The first is a fun little humor book. Its worth mentioning because it made me laugh.
11/22/63 is King's most recent, a time travel story centered around the Kennedy assassination. It's kind of absurd to think of his sheer output over the course of his career, but even with that in mind its incredibly easy to say that this book is beyond a doubt one of his very best.
I haven't decided yet what's next on the list.
