I'm gonna have to pick this up a few years down the road when they will likely be easier on the wallet.

Found two three packs and a single at a Walmart today when buying stuff for my office. The single was Prism Break (the main one Ive wanted since Zing got me interested). The three packs were the Drill Sergeant/Whirlwind/Double Trouble and Drobot/Stump Smash/Flame Slinger. They had the three pack with Stealth Elf in it, but I already have her. The important thing here is that Drobot, Stump Smash, Whirlwind, and Prism Break, are four of the seven that my girlfriend wants - We both want Zook.

Its true that I spent about $50 for seven new characters, but Ive already logged 40 hours into the 3ds version and 10 on the Wii version. The games are just fun and suck us in.

I picked up 3 more today at Target. They had Drobot, Prism Break, and Flameslinger. So my kids now have 9. I just need one of the dead collection (hex, cynder, chop chop, ghost roaster) and then I'll have one of every elements.

Legendary Three pack and Legendary Trigger Happy will be back in stock at Toyrus at the end of this month. Time to start asking the TRU staff when they are getting stock, since Im not paying Ebay prices.

I picked up Double Trouble today. So I am just missing the Empire of Ice and Cynder. I'm in no hurry, though. I didn't even tell my daughter that I bought a new one. I may as well just wait until the whole final batch is released. Current talk has this happening in April.

I still don't know what to make of this game. I haven't played it myself. But the whole "physical DLC" model -- and its success (!!!) -- is beyond intriguing to me. It's amazing how successful this has become. And to a degree, is it proof that a "100% digital distribution future" is still science-fiction?
