Rarest game I own currently has to be Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Verpersia, these games go for stupid prices in the UK.

It is Japanese only. Sure, it's easy to find in Japan, but outside of Japan, it's rough. I've only see 1--maybe 2 auctions of it going at a time on ebay.coastercrazy10 wrote:Wasn't that JP only? It's pretty common in Japan AFAIK, so unless it's an American cartridge I don't think it qualifies as rare per se...The Nihilist wrote:GBC:

Shantae auctions are more frequent.
However, Pokemon TCG 2 is weird in the sense that it's hard to find, but who cares?

Metroid Prime Trilogy, for the Wii. Received it as a present.

You're kidding, right? *looks up the price of BFME2*Valkyrie-Favor wrote:Battle for Middle Earth II and its expansion pack.
Holy crap, since when did the BFME series get expensive? Last I checked they were like $10.
Oh, wait. I forgot about The Hobbit being announced. That's probably what it is.

It's not available from any digital distribution service.BoringSupreez wrote:You're kidding, right? *looks up the price of BFME2*Valkyrie-Favor wrote:Battle for Middle Earth II and its expansion pack.

Yep. Maybe it's the Hobbit or whatever, but there are only 4 or 5 copies of it on eBay last time I checked. It seems to be a legitimately rare game that got expensive because of the Hobbit hype. Either way I'm probably getting $40 out of it

Re: What's the rarest game you own?
I don't own too many rare games...
I guess the Game and Watch DS Collections (I have both) simply because they're Club Nintendo and not too many others I know have them. I have two copies of Tetris DS also, kinda uncommon I guess.
I have a CIB copy of Shadowgate 64, I don't think it's too rare but I don't see it that often either.
As for systems, I have a toploading NES. Bout it for anything "rare". >_>

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who loves the Nintendo e-Reader.

The rarest I game I own would probably have to be Wetrix for the N64. Never realized it was somewhat hard to get until recently. It's a very fun game too.

I have a pretty nasty looking 'Punisher' cartridge for Mega Drive. It rarely pops up on ebay but is usually boxed or complete, and I've seen one of those sell for $360.00. There was a BIN for $150.00, ex rental, barcode sticker right over the punsher's face (who in the fuck...) and photocopied instructions, which sold after a few weeks.

actually, here's a current cart only, interesting to see if anyone bites: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PUNISHER-SEG ... 19cda15ca1
I don't know how/why/when the value of this game sky-rocketed. Not many produced perhaps?
