Knick-knack paddywhack, give the dog his cred, this old man is tired and going to bed.

That said, dammit -- I don't want to have to decide to go through Nintendo's crapshoot checkout system or GameStop's crapshoot checkout system to reserve a copy of Xenoblade. (Are there any bundled pre-order extras like the EU version, or can I just wait for it to hit shelves come April?)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Got dicked by Gamestop a couple weeks ago. Think I'm done there for a while. Called them and had them set aside a "new" copy of FF13 for me. Had him make sure it wasn't a "Greatest Hits" copy. I could not pick it up for a few days, but they said it wasn't a big deal. "Great!" I thought. They were priced 9.99 "new" and 8.99 "used."

Called them before leaving my house to verify they still had it. They did, so I headed over. I get there and go to pick up my "new" game and he pulls out a tattered paper sleeve with the disc in it. I ask him if the case is still on the shelf and he tells me that they don't have a case for it. I tell him it is not a "new" game if they don't have the case and he takes on this testy tone and tells me how the disc is still new, they just don't have the case.

I've talked to this guy before, and he's one of those "I know everything about video game types." He tells me if I want a case, I should go buy one of the "used" copies. I tell him that if the "new" game didn't have the case, he should have told me one of the times I spoke to him on the phone before I came here and wasted my time.

So I leave and walk over to the independent used game store 5 shops down in the mall. They have a copy of FF13, but the case is a little messed up. I bring it to the counter, ask them to swap the case for a new one, and they do. I tell them what happened at Gamestop and they price match Gamestop's 8.99 (which is apparently a normal policy for them) on top of their 10% student discount.

Gamestop's policies are such crap.

Yea that does suck,I dont even call ahead I would just drop by now and again and just browse and if theres good deals Ill just pick stuff up.I feel like when you call they just look in the computer and give us a yes or no answer.

What the hell? They tried to sell you a single disc as "new"? That's crazy!

I always forget how many gutted games are in the store. Found a DS game I really wanted on their website about a week ago. Went to the store to find it was just the game card with no case or booklet. :?

I was in a local GS last night and I overheard a customer ask if he could trade in his PS2 and games. The clerk told him yes. I thought they weren't excepting PS2 games for trade in? I have a shitload that I would love to unload if that's the case.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!
