Need your opinion.

Since I'm going on vacation in Tennessee this year it's going ot be about a 10 hour ride. I like my DS Lite and all but I would like to have my systems playing on some kind of portable TV in my car. I've already tried my DVD player with no results.

I found this on Ebay.

It looks like it has A/V inputs but it doesn't say anything about this in the item description.

So if you know of any good portable TV's with A/V input for my game systems please post here.

Oh and I almost forgot about the systems power supply. Crap hopefully there are some car adapter mods out there.

the PSOne portable screen has a composite input on it. And it's fairly cheap and can be easily modified to have White LEDs to lower power consumption (making it usable with AA batteries, 5 to be exact).

And most portable DVD players do as well. Keep in mind when doing this, most of these devices don't have RCA jacks on them... and when they do these tend to usually be video outputs, not inputs. Most video inputs on these devices are actually supplied as a 3.5mm mini-jack that has a yellow or green bit of plastic to announce it is a video port. mini-jack to video cable plugs can be located online fairly cheap.

This is the case with the PSOne screen... you'll notice a green 3.5mm mini-jack on the back for hooking up composite video sources.

You can usually go and pick up LCD screens at Target or any big store for between 40 and 100 bucks. We had a pair of screens for our trips to Yellowstone when I was 14 and we played Xbox and SNES the whole trip. A great setup! Also, make sure to get a power inverter for AC power in the car!

Yeah, and either buy a good inverter or buy two. If you happen to have a spare UPS, might be a good idea to take it since you'd lose power whenever the car goes off. I haven't brought a console, but I always bring my laptop filled with emulators.

Hell yeah an inverter is a good purchase.

I used to drive tractor trailer and I always brought my Sega Saturn, and then Dreamcast, with me. But I had one of those huge 19 inch VCR combos... wouldn't really fit in a car. In the truck there's a freakin' bed, so I could fit a lot. I don't know what's more soothing then laying back in a bed inside a vehicle playing Bangai-O while driving 90 down the interstate. Mrmmm, I haven't slep that well in years!
