What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

My score for this movie is a 6/10
I'm probably gonna get lynched for this, but...not only did I not like the movie, but I didn't like the comic book either, and I'm a comic fan. Everything was just damn depressing.
Moore's whole point was to ruin the notion of superheros. It seemed to work.

I wish you both the best of luck, because as far as I know there has never been a DVD release, nor is MGM planning one any time soon. There is a VHS, but it's pretty pricey and the picture is dark and cropped, not the clear widescreen version I saw on TCM (God bless you, TCM, for your anal-retentive "must keep film in its preserved, original form" ways).

You can watch it on Youtube here:
But, again, that's from the VHS copy, and the uploader seems to have cut off the very beginning :?

Yeah, depressing was kinda the whole point of it.

The movie is probably my favorite counter to people who say that some adaptation would've been better if it stuck closer to its source material. Watchmen proved that just because you stick close to good source material doesn't mean the movie itself will turn out anywhere near as good.

I understand that. But it's not depressing in a good way, if that makes sense. The Crow was a depressing movie, but it was a fantastic movie that I can watch over and over again. The Watchmen didn't give me that same feeling, it almost made me feel like I did something wrong and that I should be depressed.

I get what you mean, although I've only ever read the book. There's good depressing, and then there's bad depressing.

Probably about 13 years too late but I finally got around to watching The Big Lebowski. I give it a thumbs up.

I would recommend it. The 'Dude' is probably about the most chilled out character I've ever see.
