Wait. What? Inazuma got banned?
Re: Wait. What? Inazuma got banned?
I think it says a lot about the mods that this thread has gone on this long without a lock and the mods saying this is none of your business.

If this was my forum, I would have locked this thread before the first reply.flex wood wrote:I think it says a lot about the mods that this thread has gone on this long without a lock and the mods saying this is none of your business.

Why lock it? The whole point is they don't lock threads for differences of opinions - they lock threads for insults / nudity / intentionally derailing, etc.
I think they are being fair to let anyone have a say, one way or another. In a day or two it will die like most threads that light up for 2-3 days.

Wow. 20 pages strong! I didn't expect that, but Inazuma's always been controversial, so I guess it makes sense.
I guess what I mainly liked about Inazuma is that whenever I agreed with him on an issue, it was entertaining to see him rant because I imagine it is akin to what I might look like without any social filter. My modus operandi is to be respectful and to try to understand others opinions and even seek for the common ground... but sometimes you just want to say fuck it, "you're wrong". And following Inazuma let me get a sense of what that might look like. Now I can see it looks like a perma-ban, but it was fun for a time to just watch him do his thing.
Ultimatley, I can respect the mods decision. I've been a moderator on other forums in the past and it is a thankless job that requires putting up with a lot of people's bitching about one another. With Inazuma as a lightning rod for forum drama, it's much easier to have him gone from that perspective. It's hard to decide how to moderate a forum where you want people to be free to express themselves, but you don't want anyone dragging others down. And you have to attempt to be fair through all of that. I generally think our mods are quite good at this, and Inazuma is a tough case, so no ill will, even though my choice would be to keep him around.

On a separate note, I can't remember exactly what it was that we were talking about that made him put that up there.armacitis wrote: I know Mitch is telling me the truth about Jade.
I know because I'm the queen of France.
Anyway, can we like send noise to Siberia or something? mj is clearly getting agitated and that is never a good thing.

It's sad to see him go, he always made things interesting. Rules are rules though.
