So how much do PCE Core-Grafx go for over there (vs. eBay anyway)?

Places in Akihabara will sometimes have the PC adapter for the briefcase unit. Otherwise, Rakuten or Yahoo! Auctions. Expect to pay 2000-3000yen. At least a Mega Drive AC adapter will work with your Core Grafx if you don't have a PCE AC adapter.PigInTheMud wrote:The Nights are for friends. I need a power supply for the PCE briefcase so I am uncertain. Hah! Like I will ever find Sapphire. I do buy a lot of junk but most of it is less than 500円. Useless crap is just fun. I dunno why. The CDZ was 6千円. Wow and good pricing on the boxed AES! I bought mine at Soft Map for 8千円 ):. So far I have only seen Dracula X at unreasonably high prices, but I'll keep checking. And yeah right on getting Darius Alpha. I am allowed two suitcases on the plane to america, and it only costs $75 if it goes overweight a certain amount. This gives me two chances to bring everything back. I feel like this method will be cheaper because 3/4th fit into my suitcase. Also as for that Radiant game, I really don't know much about good Saturn games. After this semester I just want to focus on Famicom and Neo Geo games.
Also I would love to meet Lukemorse1. I am living here with another collector too. He is going for a complete wonderswan collection.
Yeah, useless crap is fun.
Good price on the CDZ. Boxed, too. I also like the controllers for the NGCD.
Regarding the AES consoles, Hard-Off sometimes have them. I've seen multiple ones at the Hard-Off in Fujimino. It might take you 45-60 minutes to get there by train, then a walk. Not really that convenient for you.
Dracula X PCE is usually around 10,000円 I think, without spine? Either way, get it before you leave or you'll just have to pay more. I also recommend getting a white Duo for PCE stuff. The briefcase unit's CD-ROM is kind of finicky. Plus, replacement AC adapters for the Duo are easy to find. Keep both.
Don't get Darius Alpha. Research it and you'll see why. That is, unless you are insane.
The Saturn game is Radiant Silvergun. The value is around US$2-300. If you find it for $100 or so there, get it. Also get a copy of Super Tempo if you find it (Saturn). You'll have a VERY hard time finding another later.
I say focus on Saturn and PC Engine because there are a TON of JP exclusive games for each, and, even on the games released elsewhere, they are so much cheaper to get if you are in Japan for the most part. Of course, way cheaper in JP for Neo Geo as well!
Famicom is cool, but really not necessary as most good stuff came out elsewhere. That's why I don't recommend it as well. Some stuff like Castlevania III and Contra are better on the Famicom. Get them. Castlevania III is cheap as well. Momotaro game shop has them for under 1000yen generally. You probably know that shop, since they are all over Saitama/West Tokyo. They mostly just have Nintendo/PS for retro, but some locations have Saturn/DC as well and CHEAP.

They are usually 3000-6000yen in Akihabara ($35-70). Pretty much the same price, to be honest. If you can find them in a non-dedicated retro game store (like Hard-Off), they are usually loose in the $5-20 range. Boxed in a Hard-Off, $5-70. It varies by location. They honestly don't turn up outside of retro game shops that often.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:So how much do PCE Core-Grafx go for over there (vs. eBay anyway)?

I have to admit I found this amazing. So in Japan systems can go in and out of fashion all the time? Here the stuff just gets more popular with prices going higher and higher. But over there if you pick your time right you can get the games you want for little because of the system.PigInTheMud wrote: 3. Super famicom is hugely unpopular at the moment, and most games can be bought from 40 yen to 300yen.

You might find it in a junk bin for 1万 if you are lucky.Ok!Also while you're there, can you look up a specific Japanese game for the Saturn? It's called Radiant Somethingorother....

Get a job and stay away from j-girls. They will bleed you dry and you'll never get those sweet PCE and AES gems.PigInTheMud wrote:I'll just add the game to my to buy list with Darius Alpha and Samurai Spirits 5 Special
