I'm not saying these forums, or any video game forums, should break down into debate over constitutional law or something. It's just my observation. It's has a similar feeling of the parent who answers a child's "why?" with "because I said so".

Is it of a net benefit to our society to pursue these charges and take down a massive, long-standing public service? Is it an efficient use of law enforcement, the court system, and their related bureaucracies?
I like this.
There's a lot about the online frontier that companies, governments, and the industry as a whole either doesn't understand or refuses to acknowledge. The laws just perpetuate and reinforce that ignorance IMO.

Also, I'll miss Inazuma, I always though he brought interesting views to the table. And might I also add, to anyone that clashed with him, that it takes 2 to argue.

Finally, I lament the loss of megaupload, if only because of Wololo's site. There were lots of legit downloads that I didn't get to for my PSP yet.
I also really hope that retromags can recover. I took that site for granted that it would be an constant resource.
Anyways, Wololo is one of the few who "Gets it" IMO. And he does not support piracy at all. His takes on the matter are well worth reading, especially that second article (I didn't see anyone else reference or link them so...).

This. I can't remember ever getting in a fight with him myself, because I knew better than to try and take him on. If people would have ignored the inflammatory things he said, or at least not try to debate them with him, there'd have been little trouble. It's not like he deliberately set traps, starting horrid topics hoping for someone to flame war with.

I remember asking people why they kept egging him on a few times.

I don't remember reading that. But the DMCA is a bit of a mess so I might have missed it.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

So he should have some be an ass immunity clause? Better not disagree with Inazuma because you know how he is... I personally have no problem disagreeing with people. It is an obvious part of life that people have varying points of views on all sorts of topics. But there is a way to dispute or discuss things with people with some shred of respect. His arguments were basically: I believe this so it is truth, and you are a moron if you can't see this 'truth'. That adds very little real discourse or commentary on subjects.

Yes, it was a thinly veiled trying to be clever use of my quote to attempt to label me a troll. My question is more of how was I actually trolling there, which I wasnt...

I am also not going to attempt to defend my intelligence or continue to trade barbs with some internet tough guy know it all, when he disagrees with someone, has to resort to insults, good job buddy.

You trying to take up the Inazuma mantle? Or are you Inazuma in disguise? The reek of d-bag is palpable in this response.
