Hi everyone,
Lately I have been playing alot of genesis sports games. Even though I have a ps3 and I do have madden, I really would rather be playing tecmo bowl or madden 96 on the genesis. I also play fifa 95, sega sports games like sports talk football and world series and sports talk baseball. I think overall the sports games on the genesis plays better than the snes. I just love sports games on the genesis. I want to pick up the mutant league series but I have to find a good deal. Does anyone else here love playing some sega sports or 16 bit sports games overall?
By the way, living in ma I still believe that the ravens should be going to the superbowl. I feel that they played a better game than the pats but its not always the better team but this time it was the luckier team. I feel bad for cundiff. He is nicknamed ray finkle here in ma. lol.

Agreed, sports games have declined IMO since the old days of sega. I'll take Sports talk Baseball over any modern baseball game. It's one of my all time favorite sports games.

I don't often play sports games, but when I do, they're on Genesis.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who loves the Nintendo e-Reader.

I have fond memories of playing Madden with my dad when I borrowed my neighbor's Genesis back in the day. He later bought me Madden for the SNES but for some reason it just wasn't the same.

I agree that's a good game. And I don't even really like sports.soundslave wrote:Agreed, sports games have declined IMO since the old days of sega. I'll take Sports talk Baseball over any modern baseball game. It's one of my all time favorite sports games.
But if I'm going to play a sports game I'll likely go for Baseball, Tennis or Ice Hockey on the NES.

I forgot about nhl 94 and 96. I also love playing triple play baseball gold edition and greatest heavyweights.

Besides nba jam series what are really good basketball games are for genesis. I know about nba live but which year? And what about the celts vs lakers or bulls vs blazers series? Are those good games.

The Mutant League series is awesome. I usually don't buy sports games, but it they revived the Mutant Leagues series and it didn't suck, I would buy it in a second.

'95. Coach K College Basketball is also good. It's the same game but with college teams.mas wrote:I know about nba live but which year?
No. The best word I could think of to describe them is "lazy".And what about the celts vs lakers or bulls vs blazers series? Are those good games.
I like Pat Riley Basketball. It is so cheesy and ridiculous. But no one else in the world likes it so it's probably a pretty bad game.
I also prefer Super High Impact and Montana II: Sports Talk Football to any of the Genesis Maddens.
And the PGA Tour Golf games are excellent and vastly preferred to the Tiger Woods franchise.
