North East/NYC RB Meetup: Any Interest?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Maybe we should do it the same way we did last time? The two game stores then Barcade -> Party time.

8 Bit and Up is good place to start, because Video Games NY is a much better store and it would be kind of disappointing to do the better store first.

We can meet at the Payphones right outside 8 Bit and Up. It's the corner of 2nd Ave and St. Mark's place. Video Games NY is literally a block and a half walk, so try to find your parking near there. If if you use a muni-meter I can't imagine us being at both stores for over 2-3 hours.

Street View. Note... there is no scaffolding there anymore. It's the place to the LEFT of the pizza place that looks like a no name shop.

BTW - Cool lil' video game museum in VG-NY

What fvgazi said, and how about noon? You seemed to be ok with that.

This is a good plan, as is the entire day:

Ok, I will shoot for noon, but I'll probably bug out by dinner time.

Yeah, but I have a 2-3 hour drive home and a long day on Sunday with a big planned get-together of my own, so I want to be home for some time Saturday night to get things ready. I can probably stick around to about 7 at the absolute latest.

I'd be interested in grabbing lunch in town around 11:30 or so, if anyone's interested.

I think I should be able to do that no problem.

Pizza? There's a million places right there. I've been eating a ton of gyros and shwarma lately. I'll come in early for that!

Presents!

Okay, here's the deal. I did some sprite embroidery for those of you who are coming. Don't feel obligated to accept a gift, but if one strikes your fancy, it's yours.

These are stitched on plastic canvas so they're solid, and each can be made into either a magnet or a lapel pin. Just post which one you want and what you'd like it to be, and I'll bring it to the meetup fully finished.

Hopefully there's something below for everybody! Op.Wok gets first pick if he wants one, and his girlfriend is welcome to choose her own too.

Sorry for the terrible quality; my camera stinks and the colors are much more vibrant in person. That said, some came out better than others. Oh well.

The quarter is for size reference. I'm keeping that for the arcade!
