To be serious for a second; Bans are for a reason, they are well justified and voted on by majority of active mods/admins. Bans have been lifted, but not without a significant cooling off period.
Re: Megaupload Dead
This is understandable. It's never productive when these threads become less about the issues and more about the people in them. It's really hard to find anything to complain about in the way this forum is moderated, IMO.

But is there a chance Inazuma could come back after a significant cooling-off period?fastbilly1 wrote:To be serious for a second; Bans are for a reason, they are well justified and voted on by majority of active mods/admins. Bans have been lifted, but not without a significant cooling off period.

I'm gonna be honest here: I don't see someone like Inazuma changing his demeanor in any significant way for any reason that isn't like, health related or something.

When warnings are spread out over a period of years and don't work, a cooling off period isn't likely to make a difference.BoringSupreez wrote:But is there a chance Inazuma could come back after a significant cooling-off period?

Really, how many times has he posted in threads about digital games just to call us sheep? Or how every thread about a Capcom game needed to have a reminder about how Capcom kills babies?
And really, did anyone care about how many people he fucked? Because I surely didn't.
And it's not like he was very polite:
"I actually think less of people who don't curse because it shows that you lack the ability to think for yourself."

Re: Megaupload Dead
I'm not going through this whole thread or comment on off-topic stuff (like certain people being banned), but this this what basically happened (on-topic)?
-US gov't tried to put in a law (SOPA, PIPA) that allows them to shut down whoever they please on the internet under the idea that they might be breaking copyright laws. This would be very far reaching and could even affect references to copyrighted items.
-Many people and groups view this as being blatantly unconstitutional and a violation of basic human freedom of speech (as defined in the US constitution).
-In protest and to raise awareness of this, many large websites take part in a 24-hour "blackout." Google, in a cute token gesture, blacks out their logo for a day.
-The US gov't flexes their muscles by shutting down Megaupload, claiming that it was breaking US copyright somewhere in the state of Virginia. However, the site is run by a Dutch citizen living in New Zealand. The US gov't finds him in New Zealand, confiscates his things and arrests him (not sure if he was arrested?), despite him not being on US soil.
-The "Anonymous" group responds to the gov't action of taking down Megaupload by hacking into and shutting down various major gov't websites.
Did I get that right?
