A retro gaming forum without piracy debates is like a grape Pop-Tart without chunky peanut butter!

How do you change the layouts? I keep it but haven't really looked around to much. I'm just curious I guess.

I would be cool with this if piracy didn't pop up (and then sometimes go away) in otherwise legitimate threads. We do tend to lock threads that are JUST about piracy/ethics of emulation/etc.

But yeah, January is bringing out a lot of fighting around here. Not sure why.

I have a suggestion that isn't of real importance. I like to do this often:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_nintendo#Video wrote:The picture processing unit (PPU) consists of two separate but closely tied IC packages, which may be considered as a single entity. It also contains 64 kB of SRAM for storing video data (VRAM), 544 bytes of object attribute memory (OAM) for storing sprite data, and 256 × 15 bits of color generator RAM (CGRAM) for storing palette data. The PPU is clocked by the same signal as the CPU, and generates a pixel every two or four cycles. Both NTSC and PAL systems use the same PPU chips, with one pin per chip selecting NTSC or PAL operation.

I just quoted something on that Wikipedia page, but I like to include the the address in the quote bar. It makes a more organized post. The problem is when you wrap the address in URL tags, it makes it a black font. I don't know if it would even be possible, but would there be a way to make links that appear in quotes a different color than black? I could always just not wrap it with the URL tags and the text will be white and very visible, but it's nicer when you can just click on it and not have to copy and paste.

That is odd how the color changes for anything inside a Quote for just active links in the bar. As a holdover, I just post it inside the Quote and place a clearer name up front. Maybe the link is more easily spotted when its not in the bar even if in a corrected color?

I placed an Underline non active link to show what it might look like.

Any update on the pic attachment issue? Unmoved attachments still stretch the margins and Spoiler tags still reduce them.

I really don't like the AcidTech skin. At least, my eyes don't like it. Subsilver isn't bad, though they both need a little polishing. Still, most members use the default skin. Right?

In the default skin, links should turn a different color than black. They obviously can't turn white. I think they should be blue, like the other skins. They'd pop more, you'd be able to see them as links easier (instead of just underlined text).

If you view these examples on the default skin, you'd know what I mean:

Is this the link?

Is this the link?

Yes, there's a minor difference. But in a body of text, it can be hard to distinguish links form plain underlined text.

So yeah, I think links should be blue.

I wasn't disagreeing with you. Just saying how it looked in the layout I use for troubleshooting purposes.
