Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I got a message from a buddy on the shmups forum that he had picked up a monitor, but didn't have room for it, so he offered it to me. He dropped it off earlier this morning.
This is it, a 37" NEC Multisync XP-37 Plus RGB Monitor

This thing is a beast, weighing in at 228 lbs, and it took some manpower to get it setup.
Now, this thing is abundant when it comes to inputs. It has VGA, BNC, and all that good stuff. The thing is, I'm still learning when it comes to tv stuff, and I'm looking for someone to explain to me exactly what I do have here, and how I should hook some consoles up to it.
Anyone willing to do that, please shoot me a pm. It would be greatly appriciated.
Even through s-video, this tv looks great. I can't wait to get some shmupping done.

Hit a heap of op shops today and didn't strike gold by any means but...

For a grand total of $0.90 I got:
A DS case with a DS action replay in it
An Eevee money box (missing the stopper on the bottom)
And 2 weird badges from Nth Korea. "In commemoration of visiting Paju City - Joint Security Area" Sticker on the back says "DMZ"
And later a PS1 Namco gun, $2.00

Yeah. The guy I got it from actually left it on his porch for me, so I could've just wandered off with a free Xbox, but I'm not a complete bastard.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I've not had much luck lately with bargain Retro finds, but today I had a nice little one:
Value Village had a complete copy of Rayman 2: The Great Escape for the Dreamcast for $2
It's become quite the challenge to find Dreamcast games out in the wild so I was quite surprised when it was sitting there on the peg. I of course snatched it up, can't wait to play it!
