A little digging and you may find that there are the same people poking each thread like a hornet's nest. The NDAA thread suffered the same fate at the same hands. The SOPA thread has so far avoided this despite repeated attempts by one of the gang personally baiting someone.
To show how extreme the trolls are on these forums, compare this thread to the related megaupload threads on other forums. You will see civil discussion and even some people rooting for megaupload to get back to business.
Oh, well. It's for the best.
