I went to the Swap Meet yesterday morning hoping to finally get the Serial Mouse to PS/2 adapter for my Kenningston Expert Mouse Trakball. I still can't believe its selling at Amazon for TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS! Anyways, the lot was near empty, what is going on, is it a holiday or something? No mouse guy and very few sellers. A half hour later it started raining, bah! Oh well, the poor sellers that did show had it worse, scurrying around putting everything away.

When I first paid the dollar admission, I got a flyer stating next Saturday all Sellers get a discount to rent a stall. Okay, maybe between the rain forecast and the discount next weekend the reason for the low turnout? This means next Saturday will be a great day to find deals, I'll be there! Two weeks and I still can't test the Trakball out, I'm dying here! Meanwhile I did get a couple of things while the sellers were packing.

Power Adapters - $1.00 Each Swap Meet
Well I didn't get a Genesis but was on a hunt for a power supply for an Atari 2600 Jr. Digging thru a box I found a 10 Volt 0.85 Amp official Sega power Adapter. I almost did the SEGA yell when I spotted it. Looking further at another stall produced a 9 volt power adapter with a 1 Amp rating. Hey this is more powerful then the Sega adapter, yet smaller in size. I know the adaptor has enough milliamps for an Atari. Reading the label, it ran a motor on a breast pump.

PC Command and Conquer Generals - $3.00 Swap Meet
I know PC games are cheap and piles of them at the Thrift store. But specific titles are a pain to find buried in with music CDs. I played the older Command and Conquers and enjoyed them. Since it called me and dammit I'm buying a game thru this rain, had to get it. I have not played the strategy style game since the Red Alert series, nice that Generals allows lining up multiple builds over soldiers and vehicles. Less multi tasking this way, may affect the game though. Win7 compatible.

Macally iShock II - $3.00 Swap Meet
I already own the Macally trakball so I had to get the matching Playstation look alike controller when I spotted it. It even has vibration motors, the drivers an easy download at the support site. Supposed to work on older Power PC macs only, perfect for my G3 iMac. I actually passed up on this the weekend before, seller wanted $5.00 and not three. I offered again for three the following Saturday and got the discount. Not just a regular controller, this can also emulate the keyboard and mouse allowing complete compatibility in all the games!

The controller is dead. What is it with the skinny wires in Mac products? Just like my daughter's Mac charger the thin wire is fragile, a bend right at the base. Lucky the controller is an easy fix, lop off the end and resolder to the connector inside. I'll heat up the solder iron in a couple of days and tackle the Controller and a Mac Keyboard I bought earlier.

I bought this last weekend, still sorting and testing all the goodies. :D

Gamecube Memory and LCD Screen - $10.00 Swap Meet
I saw an Indigo Gamecube sitting on a table. It looked trashed but had a weird power connector Y adapter with an extra auxiliary pin. Why both an Auxiliary Power pin and an AC connection at once? Then I spotted an Intec screen laying two tables down, and realized they went together. The Y Cable allowed for a very simple hookup to a Gamecube. The best part was there is still a protective screen, kept the LCD from damage.

Seller wanted ten and would not take my offer of five. I then spotted a 251 Gambecube Memory card. Seller wanted $2.00, but then told me make it ten for both the memory card and LCD screen. Okay why not, the memory card goes for twenty bucks used at Gamestop. After getting home I found out it has an AV input for other devices. A weird RCA Audio and Video converted to a mini jack. I went back and found it the next day from the same seller who gave it to me free.

Gamecube Wavebird and Receiver - $3.00 Swap Meet
The same seller also had this. As in the LCD screen, a part missing and was at another table, this time piled among miscellaneous wires. I had the Wavebird in hand and spent ten minutes in a mad search looking for the tiny Receiver, a very lucky find! 8)

Nice finds CRT

Went out today myself, scored a very complete power glove in box for 45 bucks. Not the deal of the century but still nice. It was all there, baggies and pads and all. Looked like it had seen little or no use. Got it from a local store called pop culture, it is in Sandusky, Ohio if anyone is interested. They have a website also I believe. This is very near Cedar Point for those who know. They also have a small selction of vinyl and tons of movies and books. They have the usual rotation of games and I actually saw Shenmue 2 there so they get imports and stuff too.

Got Skylander for the wife, thanks to the gents in the other thread, 20 bucks off at local Best Buy.

Finally Street Fighter Alpha 2 for SNES 12 bucks. I dont know if that is a deal or not.

I got a bunch of albums, dont know if there is anyone with vinyl interest here or not. If there is a thread for it someone want to drop me a note and I can contribute.

So do finds count if it's stuff I didn't know I still had? All this and more lurking though the upstairs of my dads house.

Mega man 64 cib minty
Dreamcast all hook ups couple controllers
Fc twin no hook ups one controller
Many ps1 nes snes genesis gbc gba and gg games

But my favorite is a model two Saturn? The one with the round buttons. Which is great because the Saturn I have has a gameshark ruined expansion port. Now to get a mod chip and a 4in1 action replay from racket.

Could I put stuff I knew I had but hadn't thought about in a while there too, or would we need a third thread for that stuff?
