PLAY! A Videogame Symphony

Post by Jakanden »

I had the pleasure of attending Play! yesterday evening and had a blast. Has anyone else attended this or one of the other video game concerts out there? I am just curious as to your thoughts if you have.

Woah, I wish I could hear a recording of it. Some nice picks in there.

I was honestly surprised they were not selling CD's but I imagine it is due to licensing issues.

I went to "Dear Friends" in Chicago last year and will be going to PLAY! in Toronto this September.

Of course it would have a bunch of damn Final Fantasy tunes.

...but thats pretty cool that some of the non-gamers were impressed. It's really unfortunate that video game music is just barely getting recognition here in the states now that most modern VG soundtracks aren't that great. :(
