Ok, might as well just turn this thread into the official 3D Dot Game Heroes thread then. Here was my original post:

where is the Flame Wand? I beat the Flame Dungeon and went on to the next, only to find my patch blocked. I checked a FAQ after frustration and was told I need the Flame Wand which was in the last dungeon. So I went all the way back but can't find the damn thing. I've watched numerous youtube vids of that dungeon and I never see anyone find it. HELP!

but I'm beyond that. Anyway, this is one of my favorite PS3 games ever. I've been playing it on and off for months. I'll do a dungeon or two and then put it away for a month.

There are some red blocks in that dungeon that look like they block your path but they don't. Its been awhile since I've played it but you should just be able to walk to the... left I think? Inside is an easy puzzle and viola, you have your wand.

I can't remember exactly what room the illusion blocks are in though.

OK what the fuck? Back to the Wind dungeon... can't get across the mote. Apparently I need the Anchor Rod but what I have is called the Wire Rod... where was I supposed to get the Anchor Rod???

hahah YOU are not going to believe this. This is my 3rd try to get to that dungeon. I finally got in there. And guess what? I need a fucking key, Dave.

EDIT: wait, I just checked a FAQ. This isn't even the Wind Temple. I'm just in a sidequest. GAAAAAAAAAH.

it IS cryptic yes. But I do love it. The way I play it -- in spurts -- works best I think. I'm 11 hours in, but that's over a 8 month period. You may enjoy it more with a guide?
