Ticked Off- I have a test during his speech.
He talked about this on the show - he said that you could come and hear him anyway and learn something you'd never learn in class: "class is for suckahs!"

I have been really enjoying the Colbert/South Carolina/Herman Cain thing - the ad which parodies the "Cain smile" ad is comedy gold, and the whole run on the Daily Show and Report has been fantastic, smart TV.
I'd like to amend my Smile/Ticked off

Smile- my professor cancelled class because everybody was skipping to see Colbert anyways
Smile even more- I got pretty close to the front and got some amazing pictures

EDIT: here's a video from the event my college posted-

Cookie monster. Sounds like he sent you his bad system, maybe. Maybe it got kicked around really good in transit and did arrive broken. In the end, ebay says the seller is responsible to insure safe delivery of the item, whether returns are offered or not.

If it truly arrived damaged, your on the hook. It sucks, it is what it is though. If you don't have insurance your at the mercy of the knockaround guys.

If he simply took advantage of ebay's lenient policy and returned his own broken one - and kept yours, that sucks even worse. Again though, it is what it is - these are the reasons many of us don't sell on ebay.

One thing you can do is call customer support - let them know you are upset with the decision and you believe this person is fraudulent. They won't reverse the case, but they will put it on his account that a seller believes they were a victim of fraud. It is calls like that that help ebay solve the "tough" cases, so make the call.

For the future - record serial numbers and take photos of items you are shipping in case ebay forces a return. If no serial number available, find another way to clearly mark it and take photos for your records.

Oh whoops. Was confusing it with something else.

I'll just quote AtariAge.
AtariAge wrote: Activision programmer Larry Kaplan originally wanted to port Dennis Koble's Atari coinop game Avalanche to the Atari 2600. But the problem was that in Avalanche all the boulders are lined up at the top which is difficult to accomplish on the 2600, hence the shift to the Mad Bomber. David Crane actually coded the overlaid sprites for the Mad Bomber himself. Although Avalanche failed in the arcades, the gameplay is quite similar to Kaboom!, and so the success of Kaboom! helps to vindicate Dennis' efforts in retrospect.

Ah I see. They couldn't put that many sprites waiting to fall on a horizontal line.

If this virtual boy is in as bad shape as you've said, you might be able to sway ebay by taking pictures of it and comparing it to your original auction picture. It's a long shot, because obviously they could say that one of the pics isn't real etc., but it's probably your best chance.

Smile: It's snowing right now and I'm off from work. I love the snow.

Frown: So ironic, it hurts. I decided not to try and do anything for New Years because it's too hard to get every one together and it always ends up snowing so people can't make it. So I decided to have people over tonight, and it figures, it snows! It's suppose to stop soon, and it might turn into rain and clean the roads up a little, so hopefully the weather wont effect my plans.
