Just wondering if I perform the Twilight hack on my Wii will I still be able to update it? I know thereis message that always appears when you update the Wii saying if you modify the Wii and update it will shut down and won't be able to turn back on again.
There's no way for Nintendo to know that you have performed the twilight hack as it is all done in the buffer and ram. Once the Wii is switched off all the data is lost. As long as you don't physically modify anything on your Wii there shouldn't be a problem.
It's all done in RAM, RAM as you should know by now is volatile memory and all data is lost when there is no charge present. AKA as soon as you switch off everything done by the hack is lost. It's why you have to apply the homebrew channel every time you switch the Wii off.
If the particular homebrew you're using saves data to your Wii's internal memory then yes… However anything written to the memory that isn't 'signed' will not work without exploiting your Wii again.

Thats what I thought also.. can anyone confirm this? I was going to play with it but the wife will kill me if the Wii is down for any amount of time. Its the ONLY console she will play.
