I didn't even know that Konami owned Hudson. Was it always this way? Or did they buy them out sometime along the way?

Hudson, at least as far as retro gaming goes was always an indie developer of sorts. Konami was also good at releasing fantastic games (usually). If they're being absored like has been said and everything goes well, this is a good thing.

But we won't really know until they release a new game in the series that was under Hudson. Time will tell!

Hudson is being ABSORBED into the Konami Development team!

Yes, but this means Bomberman 3ds is even further delayed. It also means Hudson titles will still be made, but since they are no longer flying solo, the games will most likely not be the same.

Hudson will be absorbed into Konami Digital Entertainment.

Of course we will see Bomberman again. There are like 700 Bomberman games released on every console known to man.

"Absorbed" usually means "Bought" and nothing else in the terms of business. Typically the absorbed company will lay off all but a few key employees, and Konami essentially bought the brand Hudson Soft and not much more. So we'll still see the Hudson franchise as Hazerd points out, just probably not by the people from Hudson.
