Do we know when this section of voting will be done? I kinda want to try some of these out so I don't vote for an overly-easy game. There is no way I could play Gun Nac for a month.

I don't think it's a big deal really, we've already delved into emulation in just the first month. I don't think anyone is going to be looked down upon for opting to emulate a $200 game. Emulation is necessary for MAME stuff too.Hobie-wan wrote:As much as I'd like to vote for Zanac X Zanac, it is a $200 game so even though I own it, it seems a bit ridiculous to recommend. Same with Power Strike II for SMS.
I haven't come up with any deadline schedule but being that we've got the next 2 months planned I don't see any need for an immediate rush.dunpeal2064 wrote:Do we know when this section of voting will be done? Since when is Zanac X worth $200? Thats insane.
Theres a copy with spine for $90 on ebay, and I see them go in the $100 ballpark all the time. Maybe people sell them for $200, but no one (I hope) buys them at that price.

I picked my Zanac x Zanac of ebay.co.uk for $70 shipped. I've seen it go as high as $130 at auction and yes, even sell at $190 range at buy now - not common, but it has happened.
I'd say market is closer to $100-110.

That $98 one is indeed low. It's been bouncing around the $140-200 for years. I finally bought one at $120 over a year ago as that was the cheapest I had ever seen. Last few times I checked a month or two ago, they were all around $200 again. But still even around $100 that's far more than most games unless you're looking at arcade stuff.dunpeal2064 wrote:Since when is Zanac X worth $200? Thats insane.

How many people have not PLAYED The Guardian Legend here, seriously? Don't make me get all ExedExes on you now -- wait till August's voting
And what Dunpeal said -- Gun-Nac is fun, but not for a month. Truxton has been working out well...

I think it can with password TGL -- that we can use for score then people can play the full game to try it out, why not?dunpeal2064 wrote:Which one of these is the hardest?
Oh, and does Guardian Legend really count if Cannon Spike didn't? Most of the time spent in that game isn't in the shmup areas
Interesting to see Space Megaforce lead -- good game, but TGL would be nice and its CHEAP too.
If that Zanac X Zanac wins -- I'll have to bow out... no PS and no intentions to get one just for that game. I'll play the NES Zanac in spirit
