not sure if there's a series of boss-battles the same way. But for the most part, I'd guess that anyone who enjoyed NMH will get into this too.Opa Opa wrote:So is this game another No More Heroes?
Yeah, that's what the first 50% of me was saying.s1mple wrote:Well, hot cheer babes are a bonus, y'know.
It's like "hey Suda made this game." "Oh yeah? I'll buy it." "It stars a cheerleader with a chainsaw." "Dude. I already said I'd buy it."

Hmm, well I guess I'll pass on this one then. Suda's work has kind of gone downhill for me.
What happened to the witty writing found in Flower, Sun, and Rain? Now everything is a crude sex-related joke.

I just think he's going through his b-movie game phase. I'm having fun with it, though.Opa Opa wrote:What happened to the witty writing found in Flower, Sun, and Rain? Now everything is a crude sex-related joke.

This game looks fuckin' terrible. I like some bad games, but I'm going to have to pass on this one.

pfft. It looks better than Shadows of the Damned, which I liked a lot.
Re: Lollipop Chainsaw (new Suda game!)
So wait, is Suda at the helm of this game? I know Grasshopper developed it but the writing was clearly not Suda/Mikami. I'll try anything that Grasshopper puts out but SotD put a bad taste in my mouth. It wasn't that the gameplay was bland, or that the jokes were stupid/immature, it was that the writing wasn't Suda. It didn't feel like a game that was his vision and it really bothered me.
According to Wikipedia the game's script is written by James Gunn, who did the screenplay for the Dawn of the Dead remake, which is great news.

yes correct. He also wrote Tromeo & Juliet, and Slither -- which makes it far better news.brunoafh wrote: According to Wikipedia the game's script is written by James Gunn, who did the screenplay for the Dawn of the Dead remake, which is great news.
At any rate, I expect this game to be a lot like an Onechenbara game. Which is fine by me.

I wants!
I am about to beat NMH 2 after putting it off and LOVE it! I'm in a Suda 51 mood and plan on picking this around launch. Hey Noise, have you played NMH series?
