I gave up on Australian television a loooooong time ago. Sure we get all these new channels with digital, but it's really just another 20 channels of the same old shit. And they're in HD.

The Turbo Express tuner also allowed for A/V input with the correct cable. Still useless for watching OTA television. Did the GG or others have that capability?

Yes, the Game Gear TV Tuner also had AV input via 3.5mm plug. I used to use it as a mini monitor back in the old days... just because I could.

Almost as useless as the GCN broadband adapter lol.

How do you figure? The broadband adapter can still be used for playing PSO on private servers and playing LAN mode on the few games that support it.

It's sad how many mini radio/TV combo units I see at thrift stores these days, good for nothing but use as an awkward radio.

Unless they have an input. I had an old friend that had a flip top pocket LCD TV with a 1/8 inch jack that was an RF input. He had rigged a 70s style game switchbox and could play NES on it in black and white.

I had one of these back in the day. It was an interesting piece for sure, especially since it only works with earlier Game Gear models.

I never had much luck with the thing. Reception at my house was very poor. I could only get like two channels. And using it on the road was awful because it was near impossible to maintain a clear signal for more than a few minutes.

I remember when I finally traded it in at Electronics Boutique. The clerk was like "WTF is this thing?" I don't recall how much they gave me for it but I was just glad to be rid of it. It is one of the few game related items that I do not regret trading in during my younger days.

If you guys are saying it DOES have aux input capability it could be pretty sweet paired with my CDX to make a super retro portable gaming rig!

well since the batteries in the CDX only power it as a CD player and not a game console I'm going to have to be plugged in anyway haha so I might as well plug in the rest....

I was gonna say the same thing. The BBA is quite useful, which is why it's still so expensive.
