Amazon lists Ride The Lightning starting at $12 new.
I'd probably buy used anyway. You've already bought the album once, so it's not like you're depriving the band of money or something. You could probably get them in nice condition for $5-6 a pop used.
Vinyl is nice though. Part of me has kinda always wanted to get into vinyl, but I don't think I could afford an audio set up that'd take enough advantage of the format to make all of its hassles (space, cleaning, etc) worth it.
What are you listening to at the present? (genres helpful)

I haven't checked in a while but Metallica was selling the vinyl from their official store for about $20 per album, which isn't bad at all. Some vinyl albums that are out of print like say Use Your Illusion 1 and 2 are going for $50+ right now.
It is, IMO, the best way to listen to music that was recorded on analog equipment originally. That's how it was meant to be heard. You know CDs came with disclaimers about revealing the limitations of the equipment the music was recorded on. That's one reason why so many bands had to go back and remaster their older albums. Cause sometimes the original CD pressings may not have sounded as good as the vinyl did.

They have escaped into the mansion where they thought it was safe, yet.

They've never dropped in price much. Amazon still sells the albums new for about $14-15 a pop...Megadeth's only sell for $10 a pop in comparison. I probably will buy the album again at some point. Or maybe the vinyl since I now have a record playerAppleQueso wrote:It's metallicajvalentine98 wrote:metallica - fade to black via youtube (I lost my CD years ago)
