- Same with Final Fantasy. I originally played them in this order: 6, 4, 7, 1, 2, 5, 3, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13. Wish I could go back to play 1-9 in order to see how the series developed... then I would stop.

I'd kind of like to go back and play Firepower 2000 with my friend for the first time again. Like back before we beat it a million times. Looking back it was kind of fun not being able to get past level 2 and being literally sick of just the thought of having to do level 1 all over again. lol We were so determined to beat that game that we put every second we could into it for a week until we finally finished it and then finished it again a thousand more times.

I kind of did that after discovering the series with FF VII (didn't have an SNES growing up so didn't get the chance to start with 4 or 6). Went back and played them in order, it was actually really cool. I still remember the feeling of booting up FF I on Nesticle and getting the biggest kick out of seeing the series I related FF VII to in 8-bit.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Wish I could go back to play 1-9 in order to see how the series developed

More specifically all the early on SNES titles, pretty much every game in this guide.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for sure. The joy I experienced when I first played that game was unmatched; it just seemed to click immediately with me. This inclusion is doubly true because since it is an adventure game, it has replay value approaching zero. *sigh* Why won't Capcom localize Ace Attorney games anymore? I used to trust them...

Anybody play these?

Apple II text adventures were life-changing. I played through 2088: An Oval Office Odyssey dozens of times to experience every permutation of the story -- and then I typed up walkthroughs for them. That was when I was a little older, though. When I first started these I was so young that it was a struggle to read and understand all of the words. I remember longing for the day when reading would be as effortless for me as it was for my parents, and I worked so hard at deciphering the text on my own in these games to help get myself to that level.
I wouldn't want to erase my memories of Microzine games, though. I just wish I could teleport back for a little while and re-live my first experiences with them.

AA games just aren't the same once you already know all the twists and who the real criminal is.lisalover1 wrote:Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for sure.
