Recommended Saturn Video Connections

Post by bawitback »

My US Saturn is currently using Sega Saturn RF Switch (TV / AV) for video. But the quality is awful. The colors on Pocket Fighter are so dull. Is this normal? Or can it be my television? Can anyone recommend a better video connection for Saturn?

I agree with you that RF is awful. That's what came with my Saturn.

But I bought a cheap AV plug off ebay, and I'm so glad I did. If your TV has S-video, get that - it's better.

S-Video will help your colors and detail.
If you TV supports it, I'd go with that.

in order of lowest quality to highest quality of the Saturn which is supports.

RF/FM modulated (coaxial)
Composite (RCA R/W/Y)
S-vid
RGB (15 hz vertical sync)

Get the highest one your TV supports.
