This is appropriate again. To show how they wrote the same song multiple times.
There are cartoons that I liked as a kid that I couldn't believe how bad they were when I saw them again later. Speed Racer (US adaptaion, might be fine unedited in Japanese with subtitles), Mighty Orbots, others I'm forgetting. Apparently I likes mushrooms as a baby, but I haven't liked them since I was a small child.
I used to like what?!

Transformers.....Thundercats....awesome intro videos....boring cartoons made to only sell toys. It's a shame really. There exists a good theme for good stories. But they have to sell new toys, so let's introduce something useless new each season. (it's worse in transformers where they'd kill off characters who's toyline was discontinued....)

Actually I thought Thundercats held up a lot better than other cartoons, aside from the cheesy PSA ending nonsense. It certainly wasn't Shakespeare, but it didn't make my brain hurt like other cartoons when I saw them after growing up.

He-Man definitely hasn't held up, my god the animation (or lack thereof) is hilarious.
When I find a hobby I'm one that sticks with it forever, but I guess tastes can change. I used to a like a lot of poppy German/Euro power metal which I can't stand anymore (Dragonforce, Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody, etc might sum up what I mean), and admittedly loved Linkin Park in jr. high. lol, who didn't back then though in my generation? haha...

Yeah but I am mostly comparing it with some 90s cartoons. Plus the animation was pretty cheap which isn't something you notice as a kid, and all the episodes ending with the Thundercats laughing away the danger and that they'll always make it through, made you feel like there wasn't much at stake.Hobie-wan wrote:Actually I thought Thundercats held up a lot better than other cartoons, aside from the cheesy PSA ending nonsense. The 2011 series started way better (the first 2 episdoes were AMAZING), but then unfortunately it brought down its storytelling to saturday morning cartoon level, with a lot of lessons which just don't make fucking sense. I wish they did it more like Young Justice. Not try to dumb it down so much.
What I was amazed with was that Beast Wars actually holds up better than Transformers. I thought the primitive by today's standards CGI would kill the show for me, but I still liked it. (Dinobot....you shall forever be in our hearts)

I like The Decemberists quite a bit. On what grounds are they "shit"? I do "hate" Nickelback in that their music lacks artistry, innovation, and everything basically else I look for in music, but I can respect their ability to pump out successful radio anthems for the current market. They know their audience.Hazerd wrote: shit like "The Decemberists" but it wouldnt surprise me if people liked them who hate Nickelback lol.
