What are you listening to at the present? (genres helpful)

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Purple Haze is staggeringly good. It's by far one of my favorite Dipset releases. "Killer Cam" alone... woah. If you enjoy this, get back at me. I can highly recommend a handful of Dipset releases. Their discography can be a pain to navigate as they've put out so much stuff of varying quality.

Vernian Process has a new single out, "Something Wicked (That Way Went)". If you've never heard of them, they're a steampunk band (like Abney Park, but (quoting Wikipedia) "their sound is a fusion of modern and old-world styles including darkwave, progressive rock, neoclassical, trip hop, ragtime, and other related genres."), but they're new song incorporates more of a circus music vibe, not unlike Creature Feature's "Greatest Show Unearthed", from the album of the same name. I bought it from iTunes, but they have on BandCamp.

And speaking of Vernian Process, also recently found an MP3 of their remix of Abney Park's "The Wrong Side", which is referred to the "Vernian Processed Mix". DL it here.

Also scored my three fave tracks from the Sonic Adventure duology:

* Live and Learn (SA2 theme)
* Open Your Heart (SA1 theme)
* Escape from the City (SA1 - City Escape track)

Also, Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers", which has this strange vibe, like The Wizard of Oz on absinthe, with a Eurasian aesthetic.

And the theme to Mighty Morphin Powers, both The Mighty RAW version (from the show) and The Power Rangers Orchestra version (from the movie). The Power Rangers Orchestra consisted of Eric Martin of Mr. Big, renowned studio guitarist Tim Pierce, John Pierce of Pablo Cruise on bass, and Matt Sorum of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver on drums (quoting Wikipedia).

Oh, and apparently Dulcea, the Xena-like warrior woman from the PR movie was at one point set to be played by Mariska Hargitay. Here's some BTS footage with Hargitay as Dulcea.
