Re: My Setup
Staples wouldn't print because of copyright. Really didn't think this one through.
Re: My Setup
The Cover Project's sizes are probably correct. If you're trying to print on 8.5x11 paper, it's probably being shrunk. Your printer probably can't print borderless, which accounts for most (if not all) of the shrink.
I had a great experience with FedEx Kinkos. It was like $1.50/page and they came out great.

Re: My Setup
Were you able to preview before printing? I'm uploading it and it says it's not a standard file type so I can't preview price or what it looks like.Ziggy587 wrote:The Cover Project's sizes are probably correct. Did you use photo services or something else? Can't even install the kinkos printer. File not found.
EDIT: Found the install. Trying it out now.
Alright looks good. Didn't see any whitespace at the ends in the preview.

Legal size paper. make sure the pages are scaled to 100 percent. No more, no less.
TheCoverProject's covers are sized correctly. I use them myself.

Re: My Setup
Well I'm sure if you go down to one of the locations with the covers on a USB stick or whatever they'd hook you up. But here's the best way I found to use the online service: Load your cover into Photoshop (or GIMP or whatever other alternative) and make the canvas size the same size as what ever the next largest paper size Kinkos offers. Making the canvas larger will keep the image the same size, it'll pretty much just make a border around it. Rotate the cover 90 degrees if necessary. Then save it as a PDF and upload it with OUT the Kinkos printer driver.Overload wrote:Were you able to preview before printing? Re: My Setup
I print all of mine at Staples, its the cheapest and they look nice on their 0.55 paper. Thought they may say something about copyright but its never come up in all the times I've printed stuff.Overload wrote:Staples wouldn't print because of copyright. Really didn't think this one through.
They just scale it to fit the page and it comes out nice every time.

Re: My Setup
I'm surprised your kinkos would let you print copyrighted material. I guess it varies by location. Ours wouldn't even let us print maps created by google earth pro. We had a license and everything.
