Guys I could do with some help.
I recently got hold of Sonic R for the pc off underground gamer, And instantly had problems.Namely the fact it isn't meant for Win7.After a lot of googling and youtube video watching, I now have it running and looking sweet.
My problem now and still has me baffled is the fact that I cant save.It makes the noises and everything to say its accepting my actions,But no save file is created or shown.
I may have a save file in my directory but i cant get it to be noticed by the game.
I also have the online patch for it to allow online gaming via a ip/tcp connection thing.I haven't put that in yet though as saving is more important. If only for the fact that to get the game running on Win7 I have to run a debugging option on a program every time I want to play it.
Anyone have any ideas on a fix?
Cheers

Re: Sonic R PC
My younger brother used to own Sonic R for PC. Your best bet to get it running is to either hook up an old Windows 98 machine and play it there, or to install Windows 98 on part of your Windows 7's hard drive. Sonic R doesn't like new OS's, just like the PC port of Sonic CD doesn't.

I have no idea what PC stuff costs in the UK, but couldn't you pick up an old 98 machine at a yard sale or something on the cheap? Or just let co-workers know you're on the lookout for an old PC, they might give you one they would have otherwise thrown out or let grow moldy in the garage.RetroGam3r wrote:Cheers for the advice.I bit the bullet and put a virtual machine version of win 98 in my machine.Only problem now is i get the error for having a too fast proccessor. The same one i got on win 7 but fixed with the debug program.
