I haven't given up! I need to return to the Gen port since my arcade score is pretty goldenbrunoafh wrote:Sounds like a good idea, I'll get the OP updated tonight. And also maybe play some Truxton. quick correction - my score in the OP is actually a Genesis Score. My MAME score was lower (posted a few threads back). I will probably keep switching between both...

I think most in this thread have played TSS. Axelay doesn't scream cute.ExedExes wrote:TWINKLE STAR SPRITES. Now there's a game not many are familiar with, but nobody voted SNK so we won't be seeing that!noiseredux wrote:what's a good cute-em-up? Twinbee? Cotton? Twinkle Star Sprites?
I only have one choice for Konami -- AXELAY would give me an excuse to take my dusty SNES out again
As my daughter says, "There are four ways to organize your Pokemon. By HP, by attack/damage, by energy and by cuteness." I've come to appreciate cuteness, particularly when shooting at stuff.

Oh and when you get the OP updated, please take note of my latest arcade score from last night -- I should hopefully have a better Gen score later on toobrunoafh wrote:Sounds like a good idea, I'll get the OP updated tonight. Didnt Hudson make some cute ems?
Stinger might be fun as a Konami game. I say either psikyo, raizing, or takumi for next month though (no surprise there)

No Stinger - that game looks so damn easy and it is so damn hard. I've never been past stage 4.

Psyiko would be cool, but I feel like I've played most of their stuff quite a bit. Raizing might be my favorite dev, and I will probably be insistent about Battle Garegga...dunpeal2064 wrote:Didnt Hudson make some cute ems?

I think the cheaper and easier the game is to find, the earlier we should play it.

Oops, goofed up because I saw you had a higher score than that in the OP, but didn't realize it was your Gen score and your MAME score is listed too.ExedExes wrote:Oh and when you get the OP updated, please take note of my latest arcade score from last night -- I should hopefully have a better Gen score later on too
@dsheinem What was the score? I think it was like 170k or something.
In the process of updating the OP now.

Ok, no Stinger. Air Zonk? I dunno, not many cute em ups out there. We could play Irem's one cute em up.
For Raizing, I'll also be voting Garegga, along with a few others (if we do it like last time). I have played quite a bit of Psikyo, but I've never managed to loop one, so I would still have fun with it.
Do we have an idea of what next month will be?
