But maybe it's better this way.
Too many threads like that would only smear Racketboy's reputation...

Tracked down some Sriracha Sauce at Wal-Mart, but unfortunately it contained animal products (which I don't eat). Did a bit of research and apparently the sauce made by the Huy Fong company itself doesn't contain fish paste, but the stuff I found at Wal-Mart did. Guess I'll have to buy online or go into an Asian restaurant after all.

You are allergic to fish? If so, there is a way to cure it.brunoafh wrote:Tracked down some Sriracha Sauce at Wal-Mart, but unfortunately it contained animal products (which I don't eat). No, I just choose not to eat animal products.Inazuma wrote:You are allergic to fish? If so, there is a way to cure it.
...But I'm still curious as to what you have to say?

Just for food, or everything? For example, you wouldn't refuse medial help because animals are used for testing purposes, correct?brunoafh wrote:No, I just choose not to eat animal products.Inazuma wrote:You are allergic to fish? If so, there is a way to cure it.

Anyway, food allergies exist because the body thinks a certain substance is bad and overreacts, trying to expel it from the body. If you consume a very small amount of it, and slowly increase the amount over a period of time, you can gradually teach your body to accept it as normal, and eventually become used to it. Of course, this could be dangerous if you tried it yourself, so you are better off working with a specialist.

Re: How do you cut your toast?
Sounds logical to me. I used to be allergic to smoke, but after being exposed to it for years it doesn't bother me anymore. Also, the first few years I lived in my current location I'd get a bad rash/swelling on my face every May from some sort of pollen. Now that I've been here 5 1/2 years, it's gotten to the point that I barely notice the symptoms anymore.Inazuma wrote:Anyway, food allergies exist because the body thinks a certain substance is bad and overreacts, trying to expel it from the body. Funny you ask, I don't get that question very often. But, I actually do generally refuse medical treatment, unless it's absolutely necessary and I'll die without being treated (this doesn't include terminal diseases such as cancer), or if I'll lose a limb without being treated. I do this for various reasons, one of the reasons being what you stated.Inazuma wrote:Just for food, or everything?
