I thought it worked just dine. I really don't think a stick would work better.

I use to play at the arcades.. MvC 2, Tekken 4, 3rd strike, VF 4 and even SC 2.. But my favorite game was CvS 2... Ok and VF 4 as Vanessa :O.. On console it was mainly Vf 4, CvS 2 and 3rd strike for me and my friends.. We played lots of Power Stone 2 even after Sega went belly up in the console industry. THat game was madd addicting.. Best 4 player game ever..

Any game, played with a group of people who are just there to have fun, is a grand experience. We did change up the traditional rule though, if there was one newbie in a group of regulars who were decently good. The winner traded off the controller. That way the newbie could get good practice. After a few nights of this, the newbie was now a veteran and the rotation began again.

This thread makes me more than nostalgic, almost sad i'd say.

@Ack - treasure those times "in the now", and from your post, it sounds like you are doing just that.

There are so many cliche's and quotes that seem so stupid as a kid. Now, getting older - they are so true :/

"Youth is wasted on the young."
"If I could do it over again..."

Lately, i've been saying this to my kids, "You won't understand until you're older." I HATED when my parents said that crap to me. Now I say them all the time - I can't help it.

A bit off-topic, but if you are interested in a couple films (not gaming related mind you) that just lay on the nostalgia.

"The Last American Virgin."

and

"The Best of Youth" (Italian film, fairly long, but amazing)

I had fond memories of competing against my best friend on Tekken Tag Tournament and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 even though he was a button masher!!
