 The usps needs to stop taking so long to deliver stuff. They're making me look bad.

USPS is a gamble when it comes to shipping times. Even DC isn't always accurate, as I've found out not too long ago.

Smile: My dog Ripley is celebrating her 12th birthday today.

This is from a few years ago, but she still has spunk!

I'm working from the home office today, so Ripley will certainly have her fun. Right now she's nodding off, in my bed nonetheless, but will soon be awakened for a nice long walk. Then it's off to Pet Smart for a new collar and some toys, then to the grocery store for some liverwurst.
The day will be capped off with having friends, and their dogs, over tonight.

Ticked: I swear, every time I work from home, I get the most worked dumped on me. I've been asked for a year long sales report, which is no issue, but I've been asked to sort sales by brand.

I told my boss that 90% of sales in dollars and in products sold are from one brand, the remaining ten percent are scattered throughout a few thousand companies, and that no other one brand stands out as a cash cow. Although I specifically told him that he has nothing to learn from the data he wants, he still wants it. Even with all my data in excel, this is still going to take hours to complete, even with "true" formulas. I'm confused as why we're wasting our time with this, as years of research shows that people come to the site for one reason only.

And that's the crux of why I'm ticked. It's a waste of my time, and we should be more concerned about our core competencies, not incremental sales. It's just another "what are they thinking?" situation, and these situations are piling up. So I know by the end of the month I'll have to face the board with a presentation stating that I don't believe they're making the right decisions, which always goes over well. The CEO is on my side, but at the end of the day, it's up to the shareholders. I'd say by the year 2020, textiles made in the US will be an afterthought.

But! Smile: Planning on a trip to LA to do a few performances, and it looks like my cousin "Emily Lake" (she's hilarious and got me into stand up) might tag along. She's got some great connections, and I also have a few friends in LA who might be able to get me stage time. I don't post my appearances, but if I get time at the Comedy Store, that will all change. A dream come true that would be.

Ticked: My boss hadn't called me up for any shifts this week so far (usually does it either Monday or Tuesday), which is a pain in the ass cause I'm trying to save.

Smile: At least with this spare time I have plenty of time to game, blog and work on my 3D :D Plus sleeping into 12 is pretty rad.

The USPS plans to slow down First-Class shipping in a few months, so it's only gonna get worse.
