Lion King, the musical

Post by Hyp81 »

I am not a person that typically appreciates musicals. I can enjoy plays... but musicals tend to annoy me. I don't like having to decipher song lyrics in order to know what the heck is going on!!

My sister got tix to The Lion King musical for my fiance as a b-day present. She got one for me too, and I was okay with it because it was at least a very familiar story. I figured it would be tolerable.

Man was I wrong.

This musical was EPIC. Amazing. Wonderful. No words in English to describe how great it was. The opening scene alone nearly brought tears to my eyes.

Anyone else seen it? What did you think?

I wasn't a fan of the Lion King adaptation. It felt like they could have done a lot more with their source material.

Now, the Book of Mormon, that was epic.
