It's about as bad as selling your games to Lamestop!

Ya know, as much as I love to rip on GameStop I don't understand the "GameStop only gave me $xx.xx for my used game!" complaint. Selling anything used isn't going to net you much money, and the GameStop buy-back rates don't seem that much different than most retro game or independent stores. For instance, Robert's Anime Corner Store (where I buy games too), gives you $5.00 for a 7th generation game. My local retro store won't even give you money, just store credit.CRTGAMER wrote:Stark wrote:Heh:![]()
He deserved auto fire kicks. No one forced him to buy the game new then sell it used for eight bucks to Gamestop.

I bought Tactics Ogre for $9.99 at GameStop the other day. Just about shat my pants when the clerk took the gutted copy and handed me a sealed one!!!

You guys do realize that the video is a advertisement for that website he uses in the clip, not an actual news story...right?

I just about shat my pants when they gave me a full refund for DMC4 when I traded it in.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I bought Tactics Ogre for $9.99 at GameStop the other day. Just about shat my pants when the clerk took the gutted copy and handed me a sealed one!!!
Guess it was a clerk mistake, but I paid $14.99 for it and got $14.99 back.
And, no, it wasn't a return. My sister ended up throwing away the receipt so we couldn't return it.

Well I do, I thought it was obvious enough not to post it with the clip. I just think seeing a guy get kicked in the junk to be comedy gold.dsheinem wrote:You guys do realize that the video is a advertisement for that website he uses in the clip, not an actual news story...right?

Yeah, I knew it was a commercial, but I like how they bash Gamestop.dsheinem wrote:You guys do realize that the video is a advertisement for that website he uses in the clip, not an actual news story...right?

It's OK if I'm the one who decides to watch it. I am not against all advertising in every form, only the ones that show up and annoy me when I am trying to do something else.noiseredux wrote:you watched advertising.Inazuma wrote:Yeah, I knew it was a commercial, but I like how they bash Gamestop.dsheinem wrote:You guys do realize that the video is a advertisement for that website he uses in the clip, not an actual news story...right?
If I buy a DVD, and it has a menu option to view trailers, there is a good chance I will decide to watch some or all of them. If a DVD plays trailers right away before going to the main menu, it pisses me off. That's the difference. I think advertising should always be a choice.
