@Brunoath: Maybe try out the PCE version on an emulator? It seems a bit more accurate, at least where difficulty is concerned.

As for the dev list, it seems pretty solid. I don't really know what SNK did to beat out Seibu, but I'd be interested to find out.

SNK did Neo-Geo (end of story) but sadly its Capcom and Seibu holding 3 votes (COME ON!!!!!!) EX-ED EX-ES dah dah dah dah dah!!!

Ah, so Pulstar and Blazing Star, and maybe Last Resort? those are some pretty fun shooters. Doesn't hold a candle to the mighty Raiden, but still some good fun to be had.

Don't worry, I'll play some Exed Exes with ya. That would be the capcom shooter that got my vote anyways.

So is everyone cool with that dev list? Not many people voted but the list is pretty much gold as is anyway and guaranteed to satisfy everyone. There are a lot of ties though so I'm not sure how to handle that...

I purposely didn't vote because I really wanted some of you guys with greater shmup experience to decide. As far as ties, I defer to Mike, and he may vote in my stead

but seriously. I'm just really curious why my score would be soooo much higher than others playing the same port. It doesn't seem legit to me. (I'm not really that great at shmups?)

does anyone have the Genesis manual? What are the controls for each button listed as in the manual?

EDIT: I found it on replacement docs. I was just making sure that rapid wasn't cheating. But rapid is C-button on Gen version...

Ok, one thing I know that's a point bonus is that in some levels there will be a tower thing with a crystal on it. You have to have the same colored weapon as the crystal and destroying it is worth some nice points. I've been playing GAW and haven't fired up Truxton yet. I can't remember how may points it is, but maybe Noise is hitting that?
