Thats a pretty sweet score Noise!

That high score chart seems odd. Usually they keep seperate tables if the ports differ from one another, and the genesis version is drastically easier than the pce or pcb version of the game. Even once you loop the genesis version, it still seems slightly easier than the very beginning of the original game.

I'm not trying to knock your achievement by any means, I'm more pointing out that that high score table seems a bit whack.

did you see all the other comments? I'm fairly certain I read it wrong. I'm sticking with my lower score for now.

Really want to play the arcade version but I'm having a hard time getting xMAME to run on Ubuntu. I still like the Genesis version but if it's as pussy as you guys make it out to be, I'd much rather play the original version.

So is everyone cool with that dev list? Not many people voted but the list is pretty much gold as is anyway and guaranteed to satisfy everyone. There are a lot of ties though so I'm not sure how to handle that...

I like the dev list, but I was hoping Capcom could make it, so I could show you all the greatness of ExedExes -- it still has life in a tie so make it so people!

I think to break the ties with the exception of the dev that has 6 votes, we might need to do a play-off format -- seperate the devs that are tied and open up the votes again -- maybe we can get lists of games from each dev to help everyone make a more informed decision --

I purposely didn't vote because I really wanted some of you guys with greater shmup experience to decide. As far as ties, you are the boss of the thread. Make some executive decisions.

@Brunoath: Maybe try out the PCE version on an emulator? It seems a bit more accurate, at least where difficulty is concerned.

As for the dev list, it seems pretty solid. I don't really know what SNK did to beat out Seibu, but I'd be interested to find out.
