I interpret this to mean that people who know they are slaves can attempt to free themselves. People who believe they are already free will do nothing to change their status. Hence "hopelessly enslaved", without hope of escape.

The trouble with Romney is that he's simultaneously the least exciting (well known) candidate. Rather have him than Paul, though.

And Huntsman's problem is that a lot of people (including me) know very little about him. He's just kinda this guy who's been sitting in the background the whole time.

The one who has the best chance of being nominated who I like most is Gingritch. MO's caucus is so late in the game that I'll probably end up voting for whoever's got it wrapped up, so it doesn't really matter who I like.
