I'm cool with the lineup of developers, I think we should move to voting on games now so that we can start hunting down anything we may need to.
I agree! This month is starting to fly by. I've only played Truxton twice. For shame on me! :|

Apparently playing with an arcade stick on PS2 is a lot better for me than PSP.
really?

That places you in mighty good company, if that's right.

woah, typo. That was supposed to be 760,090... but even still that would still have me at like #11 on that list. Which kind of makes me wonder if I'm wrong somehow. I will play again tonight and see how I do. I mean, I felt like I was doing really good, but I don't see how I could have done THAT good.

Maybe you are playing on the wrong difficulty? Added a zero? Is that a 1 credit score, or does the score keep going up with additional continues?

it was set on NORMAL and played until the GAME OVER. (Are you guys playing til GAME OVER, or just a single life?). It was my first (and only) attempt on PS2, as I had been playing on PSP prior. So no continues were involved.

I genuinely don't know now if this score is legit. I mean, I felt like I typed what I saw (but obviously not as I typed a 9 instead of 7), but I just don't think I could have done that well. I don't know. I Should have snapped a pic.

For now, I'll just say that this score is not an official entry. I'll play again tonight and see how it goes. I'll try to take pics of my scores too because it's possible I just added an extra digit or something. I really don't know.

yeah, I am not saying you aren't a great shmupper...but I know that it is a very high score to get after sitting down with the game for only a few previous tries. how many bosses did you face?

Yeah that's a crazy score dude. Do you remember what part of the game you were at? Also how were you playing on PS2?

I've been playing 1 credit on MAME, which is 2 or 3 extra lives. I think the Game Over screen is fair, but single life scores would be interesting.

I'm not a great shmupper though. I'm just a good one. That's why I feel like I must have transcribed my score wrong. I was definitely playing on just one credit set to Normal (so that's what? 3 lives? I forget...)

I have a hard time telling what's a boss and what isn't. Um... let's see I got past the assumed boss that's like four ship things that open and close and you can only hurt them when they're open? If that's a boss, I feel like that's the last one I got to.

PGen emulator.

EDIT: at any rate, I retract that score, because it feels wrong to me. So you can list 126,510 as my current high score (which I will try to beat tonight).

I'd say the first boss is the big blue guy, that has a bunch of red turrets that open and close. That's the first enemy that is a serious pain in the ass to beat and takes up a good chunk of the screen, and the first enemy that gives a shit load of points (50k I think).
