PS2 Game Box Revision
Have any of you noticed that the game case for these new PS2 games has been revised. They took away the memory card holder. I think this is just a way to save money. Anyway, I prefer the old box or the new one as it stands out from just another DVD case.

But the new case has a big "PS2" logo inside the case, so if you are looking for authenticity, then a regular DVD case ain't gonna cut it buddy.executioner wrote:Just the other day I was trying to find some replacement cases with the memory card for authenticity but after reading this now I don't care anymore and will get regular cases!!!

Well helpful for some games. The original Timesplitters takes a full 8MB memory card, so I have one devoted to that game, which I keep in the timesplitters case. I also only play a few games, so I know my other two are most likely in the boxes for Soul Calibur II and GTA III. I guess in a way that probably shows I wouldn't need the holder for my newer games, but if a game had a lot of user created content etc, it would be convenient to have it all on one card in one place.executioner wrote:yeah well I've never actually put a memory card in there, who has? so yeah gonna forget about it.

What I noticed and will always be thankful for (with tears in my eyes) is the kinda recent dissapearance of that annoying "sticker" on top of the cases that came with brand new PS2 games...
Trying to remove that "sticker" gracefully was almost impossible for me. Xbox 360 game cases are much more easy to open.
But I admit that It helped distinguish new games from used games... but still, I don't miss it.
