There was sign pointing but it was anti-climatic; she had already agreed to the refund.Michi wrote:You pointed to the sign, right? Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Refitted a 12-year old PC with the parts of a 10-year old PC and threw in Windows XP and Kubuntu for good measure. Sure, a lot of the drivers for such old hardware don't exist any more (a RealMagic DVD-decoder card, a 4MB AGP card, a 128-bit MIDI card, an ISA LAN card) -- but it got done and it done work.
After doing all that, my dad still went out and got a new PC, immediately got a bout of buyers remorse, then some denial, finally the urge to get another machine despite owning three at this point.
Taking the external parts of the new PC and slapping them on the old tower and, for awhile, convincing him I was a wizard.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

I don't follow sports, but I've always liked the Broncos more than any other football team.ExedExes wrote:Ticked: The Steelers losing an absolute heartbreaker to Denver.

Ticked #1: After 10+ months of drought... crazy rain and flooding today in Houston.
Ticked #2: Started work at 11 AM, just got free at 11:45 PM. Customer still isn't fixed and had to dump it on the morning guy. SQL was a SOB today.
Smile #1:

Smile #2: Texted the shy girl I mentioned in the 'are you hitched' thread last night and managed to make a little progress I think. Have her IM and email now and a few messages back and forth when she was at lunch. I suppose the less lack of being face to face helped her be less shy. Hopefully can keep the momentum.
