us vs JPN saturn

so i have a US model 2 saturn that i modded to play cdr and i have an action replay is there any reason other then cosmetics to get a japanese saturn?

If you know about the Sega Region Patcher for multi disc games there's no reason.

i can usually find the iso pre region switched to us thats how i have been doing it

Saturn Region Patcher is extremely easy to use. This guide has a link to the download, as well as going over how to use it.

Other than the white jpn saturn looks very cool, no there is no reason to own it. I have a similar set up with my black saturn, but I still want a white one as well

i dont like the white one i want the clear skeleton one :( but its like $200+ and thats not even including shipping

If you have an AR, you don't even need to bother patching unless you're ocassionally using a 1st party ram cart for save purposes.

Actually I suppose if you KOF or something else that had a ROM cart you would need to make a copy and switch the region as well.

The transparent ones are pretty damn cool though, I say if you have the case then go for it.
