that's what I used to do too, but I've dwindle my GB collecting down a lot now, so I'm more interested CIB. Incidentally, let me know if you need any empty DS cases. I have a bunch of them in my attic.

Deathsmiles seems to be a popular pick, and I just found the limited edition NIB from a 99.6% positive seller... for $15! Did it sell poorly or something?

Good choice!

vgchartz sales: http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales-da ... athsmiles/

I don't know how well you can trust vgchartz sales figures but it's the only site I know of that has them.

dunno if this has been mentioned but dodonpachi is very accessible and one of the greatest shmups of all time imo there is also dodonpachi ressurection on the 360 you could do novice mode to ease your self in and then switch to arcade when you think your ready. unlimited continues in both games

Wow... no one mentioned Gradius 3, which i think is a really easy shmup, and probably for me at least like the most nostalgic shmup.

anyways i suggest:

U.N. Squadron
Gradius 3
Darius Twin

also i dont like bullethell games, they are like for the fanatics of the genre and take nerves of steel, i wouldnt recommend them for fun or relaxing

i think pretty much everyone in this thread disagrees with that assessment.

That's screwed up dude, i can get to at least stage 5 without dying once, maybe it's because i played it alot as a kid, but it's nowhere near bullet hell games.

Putting in a recommendation for RayStorm; it offers many levels of difficulty and it has great music.

Shienryu II.

These two versions have Shienryu I and II:
JP: The Shooting -- Double Shienryu SP2000 - PS2
EUR: Steel Dragon (Steel Dragon EX) - PS2

Vid:

It´s a pretty neat surprise. Not quite up to standards with Shienryu I, but a fun, easy, short modern shmup. I was surprised to find that this game does not suck at all. (And it can be played in 480p with GSM)
