Re: Weird Issues with CTR on my PS2
Possibly a compatibility issue? I know certain PS2s don't like certain PS1 games for seemingly no good reason.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Weird Issues with CTR on my PS2
I was thinking that, too. How does the PS2 handle PS1, anyhow? Is it emulation or does a chip handle everything?
I'm going to test that theory now, I'll hook up my PS1 and see if it works okay.
If anyone has the game and can confirm these issues on their own systems, that would help too.

Re: Weird Issues with CTR on my PS2
Weird! My PSone won't even run it! It says "Please insert PlayStation format disc."
EDIT:
After testing other games out on my PSone, apparently it stopped reading discs after being in storage. Great.

Re: Weird Issues with Crash Team Racing - PS1 dead?
Tried the game out on a PS2 slim and none of the problems happen on it. Explanation, anyone?

Re: Weird Issues with Crash Team Racing (UPDATE)
Dirty/busted laser or assembly probably. Will it read audio CDs?

Yeah, audio CDs work just fine and the laser should be fine as I recently cleaned it. Not sure what it could be since I also tightened up the memory card/controller port assembly.
